The Tour Misminay 2 Days Rural Community Experience tour to Machu Picchu begins at 7:00 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco (11,152 feet / 3,400 meters). After a one-hour drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will arrive in the town of Chinchero (12,343 feet / 3,759 meters).
Your guide will lead you around the local market and provide a tour of the archaeological site and the Colonial Temple.
At 10:00 am, the tour will proceed to the nearby community of Misminay (11,154 feet / 3,400 meters). There, the locals will offer a warm welcome with music and dance, followed by a tour of the town where you can learn about its customs and traditions.
At 12:00 pm, you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by your hosts using fresh local ingredients.
At 1:00 pm, the tour continues to Ollantaytambo (9,160 feet / 2,791 meters). Here, your guide will take you through the lively local markets and the renowned Inca fortress that towers above the town.
