Itinerary
Cusco - Super Sacred valley tour- Machu Picchu Town
7:00 AM We will start our tour is a full day visit to the impressive part of Sacred Valley of the Incas, which covers:
Chinchero is a charming Andean village surrounded by beautiful agricultural terraces and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Chinchero is also famous for its textile traditions, with many local artisans practicing ancient weaving techniques passed down through generations.
The Visitors can explore its historic church, built on the foundations of an Inca temple, and visit local weaving cooperatives to see artisans at work and purchase handmade textiles where you can learn about how to make the natural colors of wools to make the textiles.
Moray: Was a fascinating site consisting of several terraced circular depressions, believed to have been an agricultural laboratory of the Incas. The terraces are thought to have been used for experimentation with different crops at varying temperatures and microclimates, contributing to the Inca’s agricultural knowledge and sustainability.
Maras (Salt mines): These salt evaporation ponds have been in use since pre-Inca until these days. They consist of thousands of small terraced pools where salty water emerges from a natural spring and is left to evaporate, leaving behind crystallized salt this production methods used by indigenous communities.
Urubamba: Basically, this place is only for our lunch time, the most restaurants offers buffet lunch.
Ollantaytambo (archeological site): this site served both as a ceremonial center and a strategic military fortress for the Inca Empire. This site is the intricacy of its construction. The massive stones were quarried from a mountainside across the river, this is a remarkable feat of engineering.
Ollantaytambo is not only a historical site but also a living town where locals continue to reside among the ancient ruins., the tour ends approximately 3:00 pm at the Ollantaytambo Train station where we will board the train.
