On our first day, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco either 30 minutes before 8:30 AM or 10:00 AM, depending on your chosen departure time. Our transportation will take you on a scenic 1-hour and 30-minute ride to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, we’ll board the train at either 10:32 AM or 11:52 AM for a journey of 1 hour and 45 minutes to Machu Picchu town.
Upon arrival in Machu Picchu town, our hotel personnel will be waiting for you outside the train station to escort you to your hotel, where you’ll spend the night.
For the rest of the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the town at your leisure. You can take a walk to visit the Mandor waterfalls on a walking tour or indulge in the therapeutic experience of the thermal baths (entrance fee: 15 soles).
At 19:00 hrs, you’ll have a meeting with the guide, who will provide important information about the Machu Picchu archaeological site for the next day.

After breakfast, we will gather at 7:00 AM with our guide and the rest of the group to proceed to the bus station. Here, we will board the bus for a 30-minute journey up to the Machu Picchu archaeological site.
At 8:00 AM, our guided tour will commence, lasting approximately 3 hours. During this time, we will explore the most significant attractions of Machu Picchu, including the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Intihuatana, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, houses, wineries, and a large central square, according to the entrance ticket obtained at the time of booking. (Please ensure availability before booking a tour).
For those seeking an added adventure, there’s the option to climb either Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain. Huayna Picchu Mountain stands at approximately 2,720 meters (8,920 feet) above sea level, while Machu Picchu Mountain reaches 3,082 meters (10,111 feet) at its summit. The cost for this optional activity is $60 USD per person. Reservations must be made in advance.
In the afternoon, we will descend by bus to Machu Picchu town, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at one of the many available options.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where transportation will be waiting to bring you back to Cusco.
The estimated arrival time in Cusco is 7:00 PM, marking the end of our services.
