This is an exciting biking adventure that takes you through Maras, Moray, and Salineras. During the activity, participants will enjoy impressive panoramic views as they ride through rural roads and picturesque villages. The tour highlights include the famous circular agricultural terraces of Moray, the colonial town of Maras, and the stunning Salineras.
The Maras Moray biking tour begins at 9:00 am. We will travel to Chincheros, which is a 30-minute bus ride from Cusco.
After a briefing, we will start our biking adventure, passing by the scenic Huaypo lagoon and the archaeological site of Moray. Our knowledgeable guide will provide detailed explanations about the site. Continuing our journey, we will reach the Salineras, also known as the salt wells. These wells produce salt that originates deep within the mountain. In the past, the local population consumed this salt, and today, it is still an active work area and an archaeological zone. Finally, we will cross the salt mines and reach the Urubamba Valley, where we will have a snack before taking transportation back to Cusco.
