Your day will begin early with a pickup from your hotel (if it is located near the historic center of Cusco) between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM, or between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM.
Once we are all set, we will embark on a journey south of Cusco. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will arrive at the district of Cusipata, where a delicious breakfast will be waiting to recharge our energy.
With full stomachs and adventurous spirits, we will continue along a dirt road to the private property of Kayrahuire Alto, at an impressive 4450 m.a.s.l. This will be the starting point of our exciting ATV journey. Here, your guide will provide complete instructions on operating our ATVs, and you will have time to practice in a designated area. It is also important to note that we have an exclusive route for our vehicles, ensuring your safety and enjoyment.
The ATV ride will last approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour (round trip). During this journey, speed is secondary; the important thing is to enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscapes, the imposing view of the Apu Ausangate snow-capped mountain, and the opportunity to see local people in their traditional attire. Remember, speeding is prohibited to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone!
At the end of the ATV ride, we will be just minutes from the majestic Rainbow Mountain. We will leave our vehicles and embark on a short 3 to 5-minute walk to reach this natural attraction. Once there, you will have approximately 40 minutes to explore and marvel at the palette of colors that nature has painted on this mountain.
The adventure doesn’t end here. We will descend on ATVs for about 30 more minutes to the vehicle parking area, where we will board our transport back to the restaurant in Cusipata. Here, a well-deserved lunch will be waiting for you to regain your strength.
Finally, we will begin the return journey to the city of Cusco, a trip that will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
