These are experimental agricultural terraces and places of concentration of feminine energy, which is considered a magnetic center of Pachamama.
Maras Salt Mines: Located northwest of the city of Maras, known by some as “salt mines”, are made up of about 3,000 small wells. Salt has been obtained since pre-Hispanic times through a system of sun-salted water from an underground stream. Once the water has evaporated, the salt is ready for sale.
