This was an absolutely amazing tour. Highly recommend, stop looking elsewhere and book this.
We had to squeeze Machu Picchu into the one day we had free on our trip. We flew into Cusco the night before and Tania arranged for an airport transfer. This was usd10 and we had the driver with our name on sign. Perfect and easy.
A colleague of Tania's then met us at the hotel to outline the tour the next day and give us our tickets. This was amazing and really appreciated the tips like what to wear, not to eat too much stodgy food due to altitude etc.
The tour was absolutely fantastic. A private car picked us up at 5.45am and took us the 1.5hours to the train station. He walked us to the train station entrance.
The train ride was awesome. We splurged for the vistadome Observatory and it was so worth it to have the dancing and the band. Everyone in that train was up dancing and it was 9am 🤣.
Willy our guide met us at the end of the train ride and caught the bus with us to MP. He spoke English really well and was so knowledgeable. A+ guide.
MP was epic. We did circuit 4 as 1 and 2 were not available (we booked quite late). We got amazing pictures and learnt lots from Willy. It was an easy 2 hour walk too.
Back down on the bus to the town Willy took us to a restaurant and we invited him to have lunch with us. The restaurant had a great view of the river below and the food was yum!
We had a 4.45pm train and to be honest we wish we had picked an earlier train (say around 2pm). We were exhausted and the town is pretty small so not much to do for 2 hours.
The train ride back was again really fun with the band, some dancers and everyone up dancing again.
The private driver met us at the station and took us back to the hotel. We then flew out the next morning.

All in all an absolutely fantastic tour and tour company. Tania is the most responsive tour person I have ever come across. She was SO helpful and I can't say enough good words about her.

What an incredible experience! The whole day was carefully planned out for us and it all was well above anything we could have imagined! Our driver was amazing, very professional and helpful, the train provided views that were breathtaking and our Guide “Willie” was the best! Willie took us on the most incredible tour, he knew all the right places for pictures, his knowledge was amazing and he answered all of our questions and more. He provided a full day experience that was nothing short of perfection. This is the only way to go and see this; we’re definitely coming back!

Our family traveled to Cusco in April 2024 and booked a 5 night/6 day private tour with Machu Picchu Peru Travel. Tania was our POC and she was terrific. She worked closely to meet our evolving requests and demands. Our guide-Willie-was also fantastic. He grew up in the Andes so was able to help us understand both sites and cultural rituals. They coordinated our flights, hotels, trip to Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley, etc. It was a remarkable experience and we only had one bad weather day-our last one-where it rained and snowed (near Vinicunca). Overall, very nice trip but expect to spend considerable time coordinating with MP Peru Travel to ensure you get the itinerary and timing you want. Money transfer was a bit of an issue and credit card payments have high fees. Also, travel in vans was lengthy and bottled water, toilet paper (often none available) and some snacks would have been a nice addition to the tour.

The tour was very good, Tania's attention was to detail, everything we needed for the tour was provided on time. I thank you very much because we took with us a very nice memory of Cusco.

We made the Secret Valley, Machu Picchu and the rainbow mountain tours. Everything were excellent and very organised. Tania is very professional and any time available for information or questions. Also the prices are the best.
I recommend for anyone who visit Peru to arrange the tours with this office.

It was one of the best experiences in our lives. We strongly recommend that anyone of moderate fitness and above to try it. It is good to have a pair of hiking shoes to make the experience better. Our guide (Willy) was amazing, he helped us a lot with the trail, he was well prepared and we didn't feel any risk at any moment. Also, he was very explanatory about inkas history and the monuments we saw during the trail. The quality of this experience is very related to the tour guide you will select. This guy was one of the best tour guides we had so far. There is no comparison to the other guides we had. We strongly recommend this experience with this guide.

PS#1: bring a second t-shirt with you to change before you take the traditional photos of Machupicchu.

Ps#2: Willy is a very good photographer, and gave guidance about the best place to take photos.

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Gary Neslon is a positive and well educated local that has so much knowledge to share. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured at any time and the whole experience was one of a kind.
