Qoricancha (Templo of the sun).- Qoricancha or site gold was the most important place dedicated to the worship of the sun god, whose walls were covered with sheets of gold, the convent that now bears the same name and is built in this place up with structure polished stone, it has a Porton is an excellent example of renaissance art and its unique baroque tower, also has an important number of paintings from the Cusco school
Saqsayhuaman.- Quechua name means satisfied falcon, This fort was dedicated to safeguarding the city of Cusco from the attacks of the invaders from the east. It is an example of Inca military architecture built with large granite blocks up to 5 meters high and 350 tons, consisting of three large terraces which overlap and bordered by huge walls of rock up to 300 mtrs long and because of its proximity to the city served as a quarry for certain constructions of Cusco Colonial.
Qenqo y Pucapucara.- Qenqo are a vast rocky promontory carved of holes, steps and gutters, probably to deposit the chicha (corn drink) consumed in Inca rituals.
Pucapucara is another example of military architecture near Qenqo, this fortress is composed of great walls, terraces and stairways and was part of the defensive set of Cusco and the Inca empire.
Tambomachay.- known by the name Inca Bath, was an Inca ceremonial center dedicated to the worship of water and rest the monarch of the empire, it has a special hydraulic system with a series of aqueducts, canals and cascades carved in rock intended to convey water from spring water from a nearby.
